Jamie k. Brown
Jamie (he/they) is an LA-based actor, voice artist, and musician best known for their recurring role on Oprah Winfrey Network's David Makes Man and as an inaugural cast member of the 2022 Warner Bros. Discovery Access Talent Spotlight.
Raised in South Carolina, Jamie spent most evenings dancing on stage and performing live music as part of the family business. Beginning their young life in the entertainment industry led Jamie to community theater, where they went on to star in many local productions and commercials. While further discovering and honing their multidisciplinary skills throughout schooling culminating in their induction to The International Thespian Society, Jamie graduated high school a year early and found their next creative stride at Full Sail University, graduating with their Bachelor of Science in Computer Animation during the pandemic in 2020.
Fresh from university, Jamie was tapped for a new journey, making his Television debut as ASHOK on the Peabody Award-Winning David Makes Man from Academy Award-Winner Tarell Alvin McCraney. The young actor has gone on to narrate a dozen plus titles with Penguin Random House Audio, such as queer YA novels The Passing Playbook (Isaac Fitzsimons) and Ryan & Avery (David Levithan). And along with internet production house FourFront media, Jamie also amassed over 150k+ followers and 5 million likes on TikTok as "Ollie" (@oxenfreeollie) a young transman sharing his journey through family and queerdom.
These days you can find Jamie on Instagram (@jamiek.brown) where they spread awareness and love for their communities. You can also check out their indie folk-rock tracks (@MisfitTrees) with their first self-produced EP coming this fall!
